Brent Woodrow Calvert July 7th,1956 - February 22nd, 2018
Known to most as "Woody", was my best friend and I miss him dearly. After graduating from high school we worked together, played soccer, golf and went on many adventures and travels. We both lived on 34th Ave within 2 blocks and later were roommates for awhile as well, moving into a nice Burnaby townhouse. Like everyone, time marched on and we both got married, I was his best man and he was my best man. Kids came along but we always stayed in touch, still playing golf, enjoying the odd trip to Palm Springs with Bobby and Larry Armstrong and Paul Docksteader. Woody loved the movie business and had his own promotional and marketing company for many years until the big movie companies decided to change thier strategies and Woody moved into the sales business and at the time of his death was a sales rep for a commercial door company. The day Woody was in a horrific motor vehicle incident I had started a reno on his recently purchased townhouse and was looking forward to seeing him afterwards for a beer and a burger but he never regained consiciousness and after more than 3 months in a coma he passed away.
Rest in peace my good friend, I will never forget you.

ps I appoligize for being late with this. Thank you Liz for encouraging me to post something.
Thank you Don - I was hoping one of his very dear friends would post something about Brent. I remember him as such a funny, caring person and was really so saddened to hear of his accident and following death. Thank you for posting - lovely tribute. Great to see you at the reunion. Terry

Thanks for your eloquent tribute to Brent, what a terrible tragedy his passing was, for our class, and for all who loved him.
