I'll always remember you. You had a great sense of humour and I was shocked to hear of your tragic death after our summer holidays. To my skiing buddy. Farewell and see you later.

Geoff was a fellow Holland St. friend and I did meet him soon after we moved to our home in 1969. His was the first house party I went to - and the first and last puff of a cigarette I ever had LOL. I remember him as so kind and funny. I do remember how terribly sad I was when I came back from an out-of-town swim meet and found out he had died. Nice that so many people I talked to at the reunion remember him so fondly.

I saw Geoff the last day of school prior to the summer he passed. We had a laugh that we were both wearing the same purple short sleeved shirt with a small penguin logo on it. My father told me about his passing and that he was a second or third cousin. Sadly we didn't know about being related. I have nice memories of Geoff! Until we meet again Geoff.

I'll never forget finding out about his death. My family, my parents and siblings along with an aunt and uncle, were travelling in the Kootenays. My aunt had bought a Vancouver sun and read the obituary. it was such a shock. One lasting memory for me of Geoff, was being in french 8. we were a large class, in miss Graham's class. And she seemed so terrifying! but she really had a heart of gold under that glare of sternness.

We were practicing how to begin conversations 'et toi, Geoff comment ca va?

Geoff had to answer "Pas mal et toi?"

He kept repeating it, and it was hilarious because he thought it sounded so funny.

He repeated the "pas mal et toi" ad nauseam and we couldn't stop laughing....

He had a fun cheeky streak in him that we all enjoyed.
